Spring Media group secures global Bahrain FA rights over four seasons
The international sports media agency is set to stream all Bahrain Premier League, Kings Cup and Super Cup features on its digital Fanseat platform until 2027.
Spring Media signs a worldwide digital distribution deal (excluding MENA) with the Bahrain FA for its Premier League top tier and respective cups features until 2027.
The four-year commitment, starting the 2023/24 season, sees Spring Media streaming all 154 matches per season from the Bahrain Premier League (BPL), Bahrain Kings Cup (BKC) and Bahrain Super Cup (BSC) on its global sports entertainment service, Fanseat.com.
“The Bahrain Premier League is an up-and-coming product particularly attractive to the increasingly digital football consumer internationally and we feel it’s a great fit for our Fanseat platform,” said Nabil Mkarem, Senior Commercial Director MENA, Spring Media.
The Fanseat OTT is focusing on creating quality live broadcasts as well as delivering content produced by federations, leagues, clubs and other sports event organizers around the world. The site livestreams over 2000 events annually, adding up to 5000 hours of live sports content, to its bulk of fans globally. The footprint reportedly spans across 150 countries.
“Fanseat offers live coverage of premium content in local languages, helping rights holders, federations and clubs to monetize their events and build awareness across their sports community,” said Jean-Maël Gineste, Managing Director, Fanseat. “We achieve this by delivering live and on-demand content across our OTT platform, offering fans a flexible viewing experience.”
Comment Bahrain FA:

The deal was brokered by PRO International Marketing, a UAE based media rights agency representing Bahrain FA.
“At the PRO Company, we are driven by our passion for sports and our commitment to bringing the excitement of the game to audiences globally,” said Yousif Al-Khafajy, Founder & CEO, PRO. This partnership with the Bahrain Football Association underscores our dedication to redefining how fans experience sports, and we're excited to showcase the intensity and talent of Bahraini football on the Fanseat platform.”
