Spring Media group strengthens positioning under one brand
The international full-service agency integrates its most recent acquisitions under one brand, Spring Media, and appoints group CCO.
Spring Media announces the full integration of its group acquisitions, including European sports agency brand Athletic Sports Group and media rights and production hub Hogmore, keeping its full operations within Rights Management, Production and Growth Marketing under one umbrella: Spring Media. Meanwhile, Staylive will remain as the brand for the group’s streaming vertical.
As part of this change, the agency appoints a group Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to lead and develop its commercial department, including shaping the offering of the group and executing on the strategy plan established in 2023.
According to Tobias Osmund, group CEO, Spring Media, the role has been filled by one of the company’s most established colleagues, Hans Svelander.
“Svelander is one of the founders of Spring Media and an industry veteran with an outstanding understanding of, and experience from, all parts of our business. With his strong commercial acumen and track record I cannot think of a better person as CCO and coach to the commercial team than Hans,” Osmund said.
The agency has been on a double-digit growth trajectory since its inception 12 years ago, and its recent group integration tells no different story.
“As one of the strongest commercial teams in Europe and with a truly global footprint in operation, I’m super motivated to be representing the premium lineup of seasoned professionals we have today,” said Hans Svelander, new Chief Commercial Officer, Spring Media.
“While a new commercial strategy for Spring Media, we have the resources and know-how to offer our partners all the key services a rightsholder needs to grow and develop their property over time, regardless of scale and location,” Svelander continued.
The planned brand identity change takes place with immediate effect.
