Spring Media secures SVT broadcast, produces BNP Paribas Nordic Open
The international full-service agency has secured a two-year extension of the TV rights with national broadcaster SVT, and will also produce the two ATP250 events from Stockholm taking place mid-October.
Spring media has mediated a 2-year extension agreement between ATP 250 tournament BNP Paribas Nordic Open and national broadcaster SVT. The international full-service agency is responsible for the international host broadcast as well as the SVT studio production for the event played on October 12-20, 2024.
“SVT plays a significant role in building tennis interest and is of enormous importance to our tournament,” said Rasmus Hult, CEO, BNPP Nordic Open. “Last year’s success, with two million viewers having seen live matches from the event, shows the great Swedish interest in tennis and for this classic ATP 250 event from 1969 - being the oldest in-door tournament in the world. We look forward to continuing this momentum and offering a fantastic experience for audiences at Kungliga Tennishallen and TV viewers alike.”
Spring Media has been an advisor to BNPP Nordic Open since 2019 across production, media rights management and sponsorship opportunities. In addition to the broadcast segment, the agency also liaised the title sponsorship in 2023 with BNP Paribas, the world’s biggest tennis sponsor.
Spring Media is now adding layers from its full-service range to activate further revenue streams on behalf of the tournament’s 2024 edition.

Inaugurated in 1969, BNPP Nordic Open is the oldest indoor competition on the ATP Tour. A vast majority of the no. 1 ranked players throughout history have visited the Swedish capital to compete - including John McEnroe, Björn Borg, and Roger Federer.
