We are merging with Hogmore
The deal expands Spring Media’s footprint to the DACH region and adds a market leading position in pre-season and friendly football games.
Spring Media, the Sweden based sports media group including OTT platform provider Staylive and sports remote productions company Sportacentrs, has today announced the acquisition of Liechtenstein and Austria based sports media rights and productions agency Hogmore. The deal strengthens Spring Media’s position as a tech enabled global sports media agency with a strong European home market.
Through the deal the Spring Media group gains:
New and expanded territories
Through Hogmore Spring Media expands its geographic footprint to the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) region. Spring Media’s mission is to help rights holders grow their media businesses and properties, and Hogmore’s market position in DACH opens up a new market for the group’s full service offering, including Staylive’s state of the art sports destination OTT platforms and Sportacentrs remote productions solutions. Hogmore’s business complements Spring Media’s leading presence in Scandinavia, France, UK and Latin America.
Market leading position in football friendlies
Hogmore is the global market leader in pre-season and friendly football matches for media rights and production, including ongoing cooperations with a vast majority of the world’s biggest clubs in football. This business will be strengthened further by the access to Spring Media’s global sales team and toolbox of destination OTT solutions and remote productions solutions.
“This deal marks an acceleration of our strategy to expand Spring Media’s full service offering, including rights management, destination OTT solutions and production services, to new markets. Hogmore and Spring Media share core values as well as a strong ambition to continue growing.” said Tobias Osmund, CEO of Spring Media group.
“We see the Spring Media group as the ideal home for Hogmore. We are able to provide our football club partners a wider range of services with an OTT player and remote productions, enabling fully integrated service offerings and a leverage in the media rights distribution. We are looking forward to strengthening our market leading position in this niche together.” said Bernie Riedlsperger, Chairman of Hogmore.
Hogmore founders Bernie Riedlsperger, Chairman, and Klemens Kögl, CEO will both become part of Spring Media’s group management team. Riedlsperger will also join Spring Media’s Board of Directors.
